Memorial Day Weekend always feels like it is the start of summer and summer style in Chicago. In Chicago, sometimes summer means major temperature swings. When it’s 80 degrees one day and 50 degrees the next, outfitting can be tough. I have a closet full of clothes, so how can I feel like I have nothing to wear? Even the most seasoned shoppers sometimes need help pulling a wardrobe together. So I teamed up with Trunk Club to work on my summer wardrobe and how to style the perfect denim jacket three ways!

Trunk Club, the now Nordstrom acquired company, is a personal styling program for both men and women. Trunk Club is ideal for busy bees, mamas, and anyone short on time. While I love shopping, as a mama with limited time, sometimes I do not have time to hunt around for that perfect dress, jacket, or top I am in dire need of. With Trunk Club, you are assigned a personal stylist who learns your personal style preferences and shops for you!

So, how can you get started with Trunk Club?

You can sign up HERE. Simply fill out the survey to help your stylist understand your style and your body type. What I love about Trunk Club is how specific you can get, even down to color preferences. My wardrobe is pretty monotoned. I knew my stylist (thanks Betsy!) hit the nail on the head when my personally curated shopping rack was a perfect blur of whites, grays, and blacks! After you complete your survey, a stylist will reach out to you.

If you live in Chicago or another city lucky enough to house one of their seven clubhouses, you can choose between an in-person stylist appointment or simply request a trunk to be shipped to your home, free of charge. The $25 home try-on fee will be credited towards what you buy, and if you are a Nordstrom card holder, that fee is waived entirely! The Trunk Club headquarters is in Chicago, and the Clubhouse is GORGEOUS! If you have not been in for a personal styling appointment, give it a try. The Clubhouse sits in a beautifully rehabbed loft space in River North. The staff is personable, attentive and great at their jobs. They greet you with your beverage of choice and cater to your every need. My own personal stylist, in a stunning loft, with a glass of rosé in hand, what more could a girl need?

My summer wardrobe was in dire need of a refresh. So I asked Betsy to help me find some fun pieces that can easily be worn with what I already have. I was looking for the perfect jacket that can transition from cool to warm, day to night, and casual to chic. My stylist pulled a bunch of awesome options, but I ended up going for the classic jean jacket, with a twist. When I saw the raw hem collar, I knew I had to have this jacket. With Betsy’s help, we pulled together three outfits. So here you have it, one jacket three ways. Chi summer, I am ready for ya!
