Every year, around this time, I start my quest to find the perfect transition jacket for summer to fall. I am talking about that ever elusive jacket that can be worn on chillier summer nights but also looks good with booties and a sweater. Come September, a jean jacket quickly feels out of season but some days a leather jacket can feel too heavy. The perfect jacket can be worn through summer and fall in endless combinations.
This year, my go-to transition jacket will be the utility jacket. This Sincerely Jules jacket is easy, comfy and lightweight. It is fun and functional and can be worn countless ways. Here are 5 easy combos to put some miles on your utility jacket:
(1) Dressed up with jeans, beach waves and pumps, as pictured (cobblestone not recommended…this was not my finest moment)
(2) Worn all summer long with a top knot, cut-offs and a white tee
(3) Over a flowy dress with a side braid
(4) With an easy ponytail, booties and rippy jeans
(5) Over a black dress and paired with a big hat (we all have dirty hair days)
Utility jackets are both fun and functional, they are the perfect weight, and the army green is a good muted tone that can be worn many ways. So, I rounded up my favorite utility jackets at every price.
