25 sunnies $25 and under

Before BB, I bought maybe 1 pair of sunglasses every other year and they were always nice designer sunglasses. I had never lost or broken a pair of sunglasses in my life, so I had a nice collection of classic designer sunnies. Within a couple months of BB’s birth, I had scratched or broken almost all of my sunglasses. So, I dove into a whole new world of cheap sunnies. Here are my thoughts…

Most cheap sunglasses do not hold up. The nose pieces are uncomfortable and/or break off within a couple wears. They bend easily and get distorted. BUT, I have had so much fun trying out fun and different styles that I would never try if they were more expensive. When I am investing serious $$ into a pair of sunglasses I am going to have forever, I usually go for the classic look, rather than the sunglass fad of the minute. But, I can justify spending $19 on a pair of sunglasses that might be out of style in a hot minute.

I now have two collections, and I wear my cheap sunnies while I am with BB and save my nice ones for times when I am sans bebé. So the next time BB rips my sunglasses off my face and throws them on the ground, I won’t be crying over my $$$$ loss.

My favorite places to shop for cheap sunglasses are Nordstrom, Asos, Free People and Urban Outfitters. Here are some of my favs.
