Checks are back and Clueless fans are rejoicing. Cher wannabes, fashionistas, lawyers and hipsters unite as checks resurges onto the runways. Checks + spring is a surprising combo, but it is actually the perfect transition pattern to get you from Winter to Spring. If you live in a place like Chicago, you’re bound to have some bipolar weather over the course of the next few months. 60 degree days followed by 30 degree temp drops. I know we are all dying to bust out the floral prints + sleeveless tops, but we are going to have to battle through for a little longer. Checked blazers, skirts and pants are SO versatile and the ideal items to style countless ways as you transition your wardrobe.
I got THIS skirt at Zara a couple weeks ago and have already worn it a bunch of times. The first time I wore it, the weather was super cold and I wore tights + a huge chunky sweater and jacket. Since the weather has mellowed out, I’ve ditched the tights and dressed it up for night + events and down for more casual wear.
